Integrators, consultants and their customers can get the best of both worlds with two reference-grade screen that offers two different aspect ratios. Users are able to easily change the screen material and aspect ratio from 16:9 HDTV to 2.35:1 Cinemascope with a simple push of a button or via voice control.

During its CEDIA 2017 debut, Gemini will have a Stewart Filmscreen StudioTek material with a 2.35:1 aspect ratio which is also available in sizes up to 500cm which is ideal for home cinemas. Along with this, it will also be shown with Phantom HALR – a high ambient light rejection screen material – in 16:9 aspect ratio which is perfect for the streaming of content.

The lightweight design comes in a choice of black or white case colour to match any decor as well as a four-corner mounting system for ceiling recessed installations. The unit also ships fully-assembled with a three-prong power connection and dual Somfy screen motors for silent operation and high durability.

The Gemini Screen System uses a dual IMC control with the option of a 12V trigger on the IMC or IBT 100 for RS-232 connection.

“At Stewart, we pride ourselves on listening to the market. The new Gemini dual roller screen system provides consumers with the ability to enjoy their favourite sports and movies with the best image fidelity and performance, all with one screen application,” says Filmscreen president and chief executive Shannon Townley.

“We’re excited to present this new product offering to the market at CEDIA 2017 and hope that attendees will stop by and witness the ultimate viewing experience for themselves.”
