Pioneer A new breed of Pioneer AV receivers
Adding connectivity and control features previously not see in the component audio category, the new AV receivers from Pioneer perform as the ultimate AV control centre for the home.
With a starting recommended retail price of $499, the new Pioneer AV receiver line-up includes the VSX-520, VSX-820, VSX-920 and VSX-1020.
“Content is the key, whether it’s in relation to flat panel TVs (3D), the rise in digital music purchases for products like iPhones and Smartphone’s, or the demand for networking in the home,” Pioneer group product planning manager Tony Trent says.

The four new Pioneer AV receivers offer HDMI 1.4 for 3D, wireless Bluetooth audio streaming via an optional adaptor, Blu-ray audio decoding and automatic calibration for easy set-up.
With the optional AS-BT100 Bluetooth adaptor, all new receivers feature wireless Bluetooth audio streaming from any Bluetooth-enabled iPhone, iPod touch, Android platform, other smart phone or PC. This for example allows you to keep your phone nearby while enjoying music through your home cinema system.
From the VSX-820 model and upwards, Pioneer has introduced ‘Made for iPod’ and‘Works with iPhone’ certified technology. An included USB/video cable enables you to listen to music, view photos, and watch downloaded video, as well as stream audio and video all while charging your device when connected to the receiver.
Stepping up from the VSX-820 to the VSX-920 and VSX-1020, Pioneer introduces a host of connectivity, control and networking features, some of which have never been seen before in an AV receiver.
