Netflix Arrives in Australia
Netflix, the popular American internet television network, is now available in Australia. The site launched its Australian service this morning at 12.00am.
The service has launched among much debate, mainly surrounding whether the offerings will be on par with those in the United States. The news from Netflix today indicates a wide range of programming, including original content from Netflix, as well as shows from the BBC, FOX, NBC Universal, ABC, and Village Roadshow Entertainment.

There is a myriad of ways users can access Netflix, so long as they have an internet-accessible screen. These include:
- smart TVs, such as AppleTV and Google Chrome
- tablets and smartphones running iOS, Windows and Android
- game consoles, including PS3, PS4, Obox360, XbocOne and Wii U.
There are three plans available:
- Single-stream standard definition plan
- Two-stream high-definition plan
- Four-stream 4K ultra-high definition “family” plan
