Naim audio unveils the Mu-so Qb speaker
Naim audio is riding the wave of success that came with the Mu-so wireless speaker and are bringing out Mu-so Qb. A more compact, more affordable but equally impressive, wireless speaker.
The British company are launching the Qb at $1299, $400 less than what the original best selling Mu-so was priced at.
Designers ensured that the speaker wouldn’t be all style and lacking quality as many style speakers tend to do. The Qb does the opposite, astounding listeners with the depth and breadth of the sound from the small elegant enclosure.

Launched in 2014, the Naim Mu-so redefined critical and public opinion of what wireless music could and should sound like.
“With Mu-so Qb, we use the same principles that helped form the original Mu-so: no compromise on materials, sound quality or features,” Naim Australian importer Chris Murphy says.
Mu-so Qb shares the same design DNA as Mu-so, all intuitively crafted into a truly compact cabinet, ideal for any living space. It is remarkably compact, but with 300 watts the sound is never restricted by size.
The speakers can be controlled via the Naim app which is available on iOS or android and for a bit of flare there is the option of multi-coloured interchangeable grilles.
Wireless Music Streaming
Users can connect the Qb to thier home Wi-Fi network to open up a world of music. Downloaded music can be streamed in high-resolution via UPnP™ or accessed through Spotify Connect, TIDAL, Internet Radio or Airplay, ideal for Apple Music.
Bluetooth & A Whole Lot More
Mu-so Qb also features high quality Bluetooth (aptX) connectivity, a USB input for charging and playback of smartphones, tablets and MP3 players, a 3.5mm analogue input and a digital input for TVs, CD players, turntables, set-top boxes and games consoles.
Multi-room
Mu-so Qb can be used between five rooms in the home, creating a system that is truly integrated and offers beat perfect music in each room or individual music in one area. Mu-so Qb is fully compatible with other Naim streaming products, including the Mu-so and the Naim Uniti Series.
Sound
At the heart of Mu-so Qb is a 32-bit digital signal processor – the same high-spec component used in the original Mu-so system. The DSP controls the flow of music to each individual speaker and with intricate computer analytics, was finely tuned to perform perfectly within the smaller cabinet space.
The result is a refined audio experience with no distortion; increased speaker accuracy and an expansive sound at home in any room, large or small, from office to lounge, bedroom to kitchen.
