Muxlab has announced two new brushed metal wall plate enclosures, which support HDMI 2.0b formats and 4K@60Hz resolutions. Like previous MuxLab’s IP-based solutions, these wall plates can be configured and controlled remotely from any tablet, laptop or phone when combined with MuxLab’s ProDigital Network Controller (model 500811) and the new MuxControl App for Android and iOS.  Both work in tandem, aiming to provide an intuitive, easy to operate GUI that simplifies the setup, access and management of any size AV over IP installation.

MuxLab’s HDMI/VGA/USB over IP PoE wall plate transmitter, UHD-4K (model 500777-TX) is enclosed in a 2-gang wall plate and connects AV sources via HDMI, VGA and USB ports. When integrators pair it with an IP-based distribution system in which all connected equipment links through a local Ethernet network via a 1Gbps Ethernet switch, users can access all AV sources from all connected displays and other devices such as smart boards.

Equipment can also be connected locally from up to 100m using one Cat5e/6 cable. Users can switch between sources manually, automatically or remotely. HDMI 2.0 resolutions are supported up to 4K (3,840×2,160) @30Hz (4:4:4) or 4K@60Hz (4:2:0); VGA resolutions up to 1,920×1,200@60Hz come with 2-channel audio.

MuxLab’s HDMI/VGA over IP PoE wall plate transmitter, UHD-4K (model 500773-TX) supports HDMI and VGA sources in a streamlined 2-gang wall plate enclosure. HDMI and VGA equipment can be delivered on an Ethernet network and extended up to 100m from an Ethernet switch using one Cat5e/6 cable. Local and remote selection of the sources is supported, and the unit may be set to automatic switching. Resolutions are supported up to 4K (3,840×2,160) @30Hz (4:4:4) or 4K@60Hz (4:2:0) for HDMI and 1,920×1,200@60Hz for VGA with 2-channel audio.
