MSE Audio, which is the parent company of SoundTube Entertainment, Soundsphere, dARTS, Phase Technology, Induction Dynamics, SolidDrive and Rockustics, has announced the Rockustics SquareRoot 6.5 Coaxial Planter Speaker will debut at CEDIA 2018 at booth 5313.

Featuring a 6.5” polypropylene woofer and a 0.75” mylar dome tweeter, the two-way, omnidirectional outdoor loudspeaker has been designed to provide a full 360° of omnidirectional audio coverage. It features weep holes to accommodate the watering of live plants and is fully-weatherproof. It also has a 4W impedance, 89dB sensitivity at 2.83W/1W and a frequency response of 65Hz to 19kHz (-10dB).

“The Rockustics SquareRoot is the ideal solution for any outdoor setting, including pools, decks and patios,” says MSE Audio director of residential sales and marketing Jonathan Duran.

The Rockustics SquareRoot 6.5 features structural and acoustical similarities to the round OmniPlanters from Rockustics and is available in Gray Granite and Terra Cotta.

For use in commercial applications, it can be paired with an optional 64W transformer.
