Queensland’s Mon Repos supports the largest congregation nesting marine turtles on the Eastern Australian mainland. Thanks to a $22 million renovation, it now hosts a state-of-the-art interactive AV installation using RTI Control.

The system was designed and installed by exhibition gurus Focus Productions and RTI gurus Code Red Smart Technology.

“The upgraded Turtle Centre has been a big hit with guests and staff alike,” Code Red Smart Technology owner Matt St. John says.

“Visitors are blown away by the immersive theatre and massive amount of screens located throughout the space, which really enhance the learning experience. And park rangers love the ease of use and level of customisation we were able to provide — from colour schemes to the group call functionality.”

The installation features a KA11 11” and 8” touch panel, a XP-6s control processor and RCM-4 relay control module as well as RTiQ intelligent remote monitoring solution.

“While many control manufacturers focus on making their solutions easier to program — which is certainly appreciated — they don’t allow their interfaces to be customised to the specific needs of individual installations. That’s a major limitation in the custom world, and the user experience suffers as a result,” Matt adds.
