Advanced connectivity is one of the key features users will find with the LDT551V. It includes a DisplayPort connector for clear, crisp video and audio transmission over a single cable, as well as RJ-45 LAN support for remote monitoring and control over a network. It’s also the first display in the Mitsubishi Electric line-up to include built-in speakers, for on-the-fly audio without the need to purchase additional components.

The LDT551V includes all the standard video and data connections users would expect on a commercial LCD monitor, as well as an optional Cat 5 transmitter/receiver pair. This connector allows both video and control signal data to be transmitted over the same network cable. The Cat 5 connectivity supports full HD signals over a tested 150m, and up to 5 displays can be daisy chained over 200m. The LDT551V also has a built-in 4 port USB hub, allowing multiple devices for a PC to be connected via the display (e.g., touch screen overlay).

“With the addition of the LDT551V to our range, it makes it even easier for integrators and end-users to find the right kind of display to suit an application,” says Mitsubishi Electric Australia Visual Information Systems department division manager Mathew Hanna.

“The LDT551V contains all the features already found in our existing range, with a few more added such as the built-in speakers and USB hub for even greater installation flexibility”.

Other features include twin ambient light sensors located fore and aft of the display. These allow it to automatically and accurately adjust brightness to suit any environment. Colour matching is also a key feature of the LDT551V, with 6-axis colour adjustment allowing users to adjust the hue and saturation of red, green, blue, magenta, yellow or cyan independently. Mitsubishi’s optional Colour Match software, when used in conjunction with an external analyser can quickly and easily colour match any display wall with just the press of a key.

The LDT551V also includes such features as power and input scheduling, tiling capability with frame compensation, a screen saving function to prevent image retention and PinP/PoutP modes. The LDT551V comes with a remote control with discrete input switching, and an optional stand is available.
