Meridian’s Design and Specification Service made to give integrators confidence
Meridian’s Design and Specification Service is quick, simple and reliable. It has been created to give integrators more confidence when specifying Meridian products, making it ideal for integrators working on whole home, superyacht, or cinema room projects.
“We created the Design and Specification Service to support our integrators when designing cinemas or distributed audio systems for their clients” says Meridian Audio director of sales Barry Sheldrick.

“This service makes it quicker and easier for them to select and specify the best products for the job, freeing up valuable time to concentrate on other aspects of the installation. With over 40 years of audio experience, integrators can rely on Meridian and our design service to deliver high-resolution, high-performance systems around their client’s home.”
To begin the process, integrators simply need to provide Meridian with a plan of the room, house, or room dimensions, and email it to Meridian’s Design and Specification Service team at [email protected].
Meridian’s experts will then provide CEDIA-approved designs and drawings of the proposed system layout within 48 hours, which includes precise room layout and loudspeaker positioning diagrams, detailed wiring diagrams, and comprehensive product information.
“We make it very easy for the client to understand that by spending more money, they’ll receive more performance, so we create a pack that shows standard, performance, and reference systems. Each of these packages will deliver high-quality, but the difference is, the greater the spend, the greater the immersion, the greater the fidelity, and the greater the enjoyment. We’ve found that by creating these systems, our integrators have been able to explain to their client more eloquently what the additional spend will give them,” says Barry.
The Design and Specification Service also includes a number of Meridian-distributed products, including Barco Residential, Display Technologies, and Cinema Acoustic Treatment Systems. If a dealer or their client has a preferred projector or screen they would like to use, this can also be included as part of the service.
“I’m a huge fan of the Meridian Design and Specification Service for many reasons” says New Land Solutions director Luke Newland.
“When I first started to look at Meridian Audio for multi room audio, the design service gave me the confidence to present and deliver a 22-zone solution having never worked with the product previously. Moving forward three years, we still use the service for large high spec cinemas and the document provides great levels of detail, which leaves no grey areas when presenting the many options to our design teams. The whole team are super friendly, and I recommend it to all levels of integrator.”
Soundline Auckland director Tim Charvill has used the service on a few different occasions and says it’s quite a strong tool when it comes to sales.
“Meridian’s acoustic design service offers such a potent sales tool for the AV integrator. Room acoustics is a science and when our clients and architects can see the effects the room design has on their potential system, with clarity and easy to understand graphics, this helps greatly with confirming the sale. The Meridian team engineer realistic designs and options which makes us as a provider look very professional. I couldn’t recommend it enough.”
“We use the design service at Meridian for two main reasons; the first being that the free service ensures our clients have the best equipment specifications to suit their room and requirements. Usually specified is three different levels of products – standard, premium, and reference to assist our potential customers with the best choice of equipment to suit their budget. The second most important reason is the beautifully laid out presentation file that we can present to our customers, with detailed room layouts, speaker positions, room acoustics, sound levels, wiring requirements, and specifications. It also comes with detailed specifications of the suggested products and beautiful images,” says Amica Electrical director Ben Toser.
“This service makes us look very professional and really does help present ourselves and Meridian Audio in the way that we, and they, deserve. The level of love and commitment that goes into designing and building Meridian products doesn’t just stop at the quality – it’s well represented in the design service as well. Meridian Audio is a manufacturing team I’m so very proud to represent and the design service is the icing on the cake.”
