Meridian MF10 projectors
Their CD players are, and have always been, among the best available. Even
their older ones are still bought quickly whenever we have one in our second-hand section.
This time they have taken a projector that was originally developed by JVC and given it a thorough ‘blueprinting’ which reaches right into the underlying setup parameters
of the inner workings of the D-ILA (Liquid Crystal On Silicon). Using special software they have unlocked the full potential of this projector and calibrated the entire gamma section and colour/grey scales to achieve the highest degree of accuracy.
The MF10 uses three individually tuned 1920×1080 pixel D-ILA devices (red, green and blue) instead of a colour wheel and a single display element. The 16-element lens is made by Fujinon, and minimises chromatic aberration while ensuring pinpoint focus of all 2,073,600 pixels. In addition, there is a 2× zoom facility and an astonishing lens shift
capability of ±80% vertically and ±34% horizontally.
