Meridian Audio will be celebrating its 40th anniversary during CEDIA 2017 and it will be done by showing off a range of new products and industry partnerships.

New products will include the 271 Digital Theatre Controller and 251 Powered Zone Controller as well as leading products from Meridian’s 200 series – all to highlight the company’s commitment to the residential installation market.

Attendees at CEDIA 2017 will be able to experience all Meridian products in a dedicated sound room at the show which will create an immersive home theatre experience. Meridian’s new 271 Digital Theatre Controller, Barco’s Loki 4K DLP laser projector and a Contempo micro-frame screen from DT screens will all work in conjunction to create an unforgettable experience for the audience.

The 271 allows the integration of any analogue or digital AV processor or receiver with Meridian’s DSP loudspeakers and is the ideal setup for Atmos, Auro or DTS:X 3D systems as it offers 16 unbalanced inputs, 16 balanced inputs and the option of 16 digital inputs.

Meanwhile, the 251 Powered Zone Controller brings forth Meridian’s audio performance for a range of analogue speaker applications. The compact design has two cool-running channels of amplification for hi-res audio – including Master Quality Authenticated (MQA).

Meridian’s audio will be showcased at other booths across the day, including Barco Residential, which will give visitors the chance to experience loudspeakers driven by the 218 Zone Controller. Along with Barco Residential, the 218 Zone Controller will feature at Josh.ai’s booth and Leon Speakers’ booth.

Meridian’s technical education manager Hugo Fitzjohn will lead the CEDIA training session ‘Making the Most of Hi-Res in the Theatre’ on Thursday September 7 from 9am – 10am in room 28E. The session will include information on how to install the ultimate home theatre as well as the importance behind high-res audio, choosing the right projector and how acoustic measurements will make a positive difference to the entire experience.

To cap off the day and Meridian’s 40th anniversary, CEDIA attendees are invited to join the team for drinks and networking that Friday afternoon September 8 from 3pm – 5pm.
