McIntosh, distributed by Synergy Audio Visual in Australia, has released the DS200 Streaming DAC, a user-friendly streamer offering a variety of built-in casting technologies to play streamed music.

The DS200 is compatible with Spotify Connect and TIDAL Connect which allows streaming from the cloud to the devices. If either of those platforms are used (including TIDAL HiFi Lossless Quality) then that can continue on the device and have the music streamed directly to the DS200. The device then becomes a remote control to adjust volume, song selection and other features.

The solution is also Roon ready and Roon tested and comes with a Google assistant compatible with voice control. It also includes eight digital audio inputs and it can act as a preamplifier in an all-digital system.

Additional streaming options include Bluetooth, Apple, AirPlay and Google Cast.
