McIntosh has released the C55 Solid State preamplifier and C2800 Vacuum Tube preamplifier for an enhanced, connected experience.

Crafted for the most discerning audiophiles, these preamplifiers combine cutting-edge technology with timeless design, promising an unparalleled auditory journey.

The C55 features an eight-band analogue equaliser to fine-tune music with precision, creating a personalised audio experience (the equaliser can be bypassed if desired).

The C2800 reduces noise and distortion to minuscule levels, delivering an optimal listener experience with four vacuum tubes or valves and its electronic bass. Its treble circuitry also allows for volume level adjustments of low and high frequencies in precise 1dB steps.

Highlights of both preamplifiers include 16 inputs (with seven analogue, two phono and seven digital inputs), a dedicated subwoofer output, controllability through the McIntosh Connect app, a processor loop, 24-bit/192kHz and DSD512 file support as well as the speakers being successfully Roon-tested.
