Matrox Video earns SVC Innovative Product Award for ConvertIP Series
Matrox Video has announced that its ConvertIP Series of IPMX-ready encoders/decoders have earned an Innovative Product Award from Sound & Video Contractor (SVC) magazine.
Matrox Video senior vice president, global sales and marketing Alberto Cieri says the idea for the solution came as companies make the transition from traditional to IP-based infrastructures, they need a way to bridge the gap between the two worlds and make use of their investment in traditional equipment.

“With ConvertIP, they can repurpose existing SDI, HDBaseT and HDMI equipment for use in an all-IP environment so the old and new technologies can work together. We’re grateful that Sound & Video Contractor readers have realized its value and have chosen to honour ConvertIP with this award,” he says.
Matrox ConvertIP encoders/decoders are fanless, PoE-ready, stand-alone devices that convert SMPTE ST 2110 signals to HDMI, HDBaseT or SDI. They have flexible input and output reconfiguration options and deliver zero latency with exceptional 4K image quality over 1G networks. An RJ45 control port makes it possible to control the ConvertIP units over a separate control network and supports PoE.
