Martin Audio announce new ceiling loudspeakers for Adorn Commercial series
Martin Audio, distributed by Technical Audio Group in Australia, has announced a range of new products targeting the commercial installation section with in-ceiling and permanent loudspeakers joining the ADORN series.
The ADORN series was first introduced last year and has now further expanded, offering a greater range of installations for retail outlets, bars and restaurants to corporate offices. Added to the series are the ACS-40TS, ACS-55TS and ACS-55T in-ceiling speakers as well as the ACP-55T pendant speaker.

All the new ceiling models have a nominal impedance of 16Ω, enabling four or more speakers to be driven in parallel by one amplifier channel which maximises efficiency and minimises cost. Each ceiling speakers are also fitted with a high-quality 70V/100V multi-tap line transformer with a switch to select the output level.
The AC-40TS features a 4” LF driver and a 0.75” silk-dome tweeter which can produce a 108dB peak output at one metre and a ported design delivers a bass strong enough to extend down to 73Hz. A 180 conical coverage makes it particularly suitable for low ceilings and reduces the number of speakers needed for an even coverage.
Featuring a shallow backcan that’s particularly suitable for installation in low ceilings with minimal cavity depth, the ACS-55TS speaker can produce a peak 113dB output with its 5.25” LF driver and 0.75” silk-dome tweeter.
And the final in-ceiling speaker, the ACS-55T, is very similar to the ACS-55TS in terms of size and output. Its ported bass reflex design and backcan with generous internal volume maximises low frequency output and delivers strong bass that extends down to 62Hz.
The final addition to the ADORN range, the ACP-55T pendant speaker features a 5.25” LF driver and a 0.75” silk-dome tweeter, produces 109dB peak output at one metre and delivers superb sound quality for both music and speech reproduction.
“These latest announcements mean we have announced ten new products for different markets and applications since the turn of the year. New product development is the lifeblood of our rapid growth in the last three years and we are continuing with that winning strategy in 2020,” Martin Audio managing director Dom Harter says.
“I’m delighted with this range of ceiling speakers, in particular the company’s first pendant speaker, and I believe that the extended ADORN series is a formidable value proposition for the worldwide commercial market.”
