Madison Technologies has introduced the Icron USB 3-2-1 Raven 3104 and 3124 USB Extenders.

The USB 3-2-1 Raven 3104 and 3124 are one of the only USB extenders backwards compatible to USB 3.1, 2.1 and 1.1. Both Raven models are FCC/CE Class B certified and include Icron’s patented ExtremeUSB-C features which include plug and play, transparent USB extension and compatibility with Windows, macOS and Linux operating systems.

The Raven 3104 is USB 3.1 Gen 1 (5Gbps) extender for up to 100m over Cat 6a/7 which makes it suitable for conferencing situations that require connecting video, audio and touch devices.

Meanwhile, the Raven 3124 provides up to 200m extension over OM3 multi-mode fibre with electrical immunity and isolation properties ideal for industrial and medical applications.

“We’ve known about the development of the USB 3-2-1 Raven products for some time, and have been eagerly awaiting their release. We believe this will greatly simplify USB extension choices for many applications,” says Madison Technologies general manager Ken Kyle.

“It’s a genuine world first, releasing a USB 3.1 extender system over copper, and we’re proud to be bringing this product and the full range of USB extension solutions to the Australian and New Zealand integration markets.”
