Lyngdorf Audio has introduced its first custom installation loudspeakers, consisting of four models in the Discreet series, three in the LS series, and on BW boundary woofer.

The D-500 models are designed as full-range custom installation in-wall speakers, with two passive woofers complementing the midrange driver and tweeter.

The D-5 is a two-way speaker with a midrange driver and soft dome tweeter in a versatile square cabinet with the driver and tweet mounted closely together, providing an even sound radiation and helping to integrate the D-5 as surround speakers.

The LS series is specifically designed for installations where reduced floor and ceiling reflections and a uniform sound dispersion are required to achieve the best sound experience.

Finally, the BW-20 is a high-performance passive woofer with two 12” woofers in a large, rigid cabinet, to be used as a subwoofer or LFE in custom installations.

Custom installation products are already a significant part of the company’s upmarket Steinway & Sons loudspeaker portfolio, consisting of over 15 different in-wall, on-wall, and in-ceiling speakers for outstanding Steinway & Sons home cinemas.

Over the last three years, Lyngdorf Audio has already expanded with its award-winning and successful multi-channel processors, MP-40 and MP-60 2.1.

Steinway Lyngdorf’s chief commercial officer Anker Haldan says the new Lyngdorf Audio speakers will complement the company’s offering to the CI market in that range.

“We want to become a one-stop supplier of products for high performing residential sound systems. With this line of CI speakers, we have met the demands from our partners to expand our product portfolio with a flexible range of in-wall and in-ceiling speakers of the same no-compromise quality as our multichannel processors MP-40 and MP-60 2.1.”
