Luxul Epic 5 routers now shippingLuxul, which is distributed by Avation, has announced the availability of its new Epic 5 routers that offer superior WAN-to-LAN performance and advanced capabilities.

The Epic 5 supports gigabit WAN to LAN (900+Mbps) speeds and features Dual-WAN capability with load-balancing and failover control, advanced security and remote access features, as well as a console port for local configuration.

It also offers a platform for optimising the user experience in smart homes, workplaces, retail establishments and more, delivered through Luxul and third-party applications running on the Epic platform. The first of these is enhanced content filtering from Router Limits and additional applications, including Domotz remote network monitoring, are planned for future development.

These features can be implemented at the integrator’s discretion and offer the perfect base on which to build recurring revenue.

“The Epic family is the first router designed as a platform to help custom installers deliver advanced services to their customers. Our partnerships with Domotz, Router Limits and others help us give integrators the tools they need—both to serve their customers better as well as to add revenue to their bottom line. We’re excited to bring another great product to market that helps our dealers deliver a superior user experience and exceed customer expectations,” says Luxul chief executive Jeffrey Curtis

Luxul has been part of Legrand North America since Legrand acquired the company in 2016.
