LP Morgan Galleria with Plana AT
A specially designed woven projection fabric, it allows for speakers to be placed behind the screen with virtually no loss of sound quality. It gives home theatre designers the freedom to place speakers for optimal full range audio performance. The benefit is clear – film dialogue actually comes from the actor, when speaking on screen.
With a massive 800,000 plus openings per square metre, Plana AT sound transmission patterns are similar to high quality speaker grille cloth. And just as importantly, visually there is only a 6% light loss.
Being a woven fabric, Plana AT screens, have a natural variation in strand thickness and placement. This gives a natural advantage as it means there is less regular alignment with the pixel grid of the projector’s chipset. This all helps minimise any risk of Moire effect. Just to be sure though, a minimum screen size of 2160mm wide (100” 16:9) on AT screens is recommended.

Obviously all acoustically transparent fabrics have some degree of light penetration – being porous is necessary to let the sound through. When teamed with a good quality projector Plana AT will create an excellent visual result and is in no way diminished by the fabric weave. If your installation allows for a dark, non-reflective background behind the screen, all the better.
Plana AT – be amazed by the combination of strong visual reproduction and excellent sound performance.
