The feature, known as DR+ Streaming with ‘Follow Me’ function, allows the user to pause any program then pick up exactly where they left off on another television. With this feature they can now move to the kitchen, bedroom or any chosen location without missing anything.

How it works

An internal hard drive in the main television records the chosen program and simultaneously streams it to the television of choice. This can happen in real-time as the program is broadcast, or the user can also choose to stream an archived recording to a second television while another family member views live programming on the main television.

The feature supports video streaming over LAN, wireless LAN or Powerline (networking over the home’s electrical wiring).

To access this feature, users need to have two or more current model SL series Loewe televisions, one of which requires the DR+ hard drive recorder. For users with existing compatible televisions, a software update can be downloaded from the Loewe support website for easy update via USB.

Currently, only Loewe’s Individual SL series LED televisions are compatible, however the feature will be available on several upcoming Loewe television ranges.

The capabilities of the new Loewe televisions don’t end with video streaming. The Loewe MediaNet feature allows users to access the internet for easy web surfing from the comfort of the lounge and the integrated MediaNet portal provides a convenient way to access the most popular content in a format optimised for large television-based viewing.
