Chowmain Software has released a Light Group driver for Control4.

The Chowmain Light Group allows lights by any manufacturer (including OS3.3 ColourWheel lighting) to be grouped together and operated simultaneously from a single light driver, instead of requiring advanced lighting scenes.

This is beneficial for systems where multiple light strips and bulbs are used for a certain area and need to be the same brightness and colour at all times.

This driver also allows you to define the capabilities to eliminate unwanted functionality.

Driver Features include:

• Enables the grouping of lights into a single light;
• Advanced Lighting Scene Support;
• Brand agnostic. Group any lights together Shelly, Philips Hue, LIFX, Yeelight, Control4, C-Bus, Lutron. Mix and match if you want.
• Ability to change modes between Colour Temp and Hue;
• Turn on light automatically during colour changes;
• CCT Capabilities auto-detection;
• Selection of capabilities – Dimming, Colour, Colour Temp;
• CCT Tracking via percentage scaling, or the closest kelvin level;
• Track brightness via average brightness, brightness light, dimmest light, selected light Or ignore brightness from connected Lights;
• Track colour/colour temperature via average colour, selected light or ignore colour from connected lights;
• Button Links suitable for Control4 Compatible Keypads to control Brightness, CCT, and Colour.
