Legrand introduces Reach Plus 3G telecare unit

Legrand has introduced its Reach Plus 3G at-home alarm unit that provides round-the-clock telecare assistance.

As the median age in Australia continues to rise over the next several decades, it will have significant implications on work and everyday living, particularly within the health and aged care sectors. Technology that helps our ageing population live with independence, confidence and freedom, such as the Reach Plus 3G, will play an important role.

The Reach Plus 3G, which is part of TYNETEC’s Technology Enabled Care Solutions, allows for people to live independently for longer in their own home by bringing together sophisticated electronics.

By pressing a red button located on the unit, or by using a pendant, a signal will be sent from the user to a 24 hour monitoring centre or nominated responder. Once the call is activated, the user can directly communicate by using the built-in high quality digital speaker-phone. Other telecare sensors are linked wirelessly to the alarm, which allows for a smooth signal transfer between all communicators.
