With working from home more critical than ever in today’s world, Legrand AV has introduced a new mounting plate accessory and network interface module for its On-Q plastic structured wiring enclosures.

Designed for wired and wireless low-voltage systems, the AC1050 5” mounting plate enables a variety of third-party devices to be mounted into the enclosures.

It can connect a WiFi router or switch to wired networking locations throughout the home, with the six-port AC106A6 network interface module delivering reliable networking with maximum data throughput.

“Our mounting plates and network interface modules allow installers to take full advantage of our new On-Q plastic structured wiring enclosures,” Legrand AV, On-Q, SANUS and AV retail vice president and general manager Nathan Bartholomew says.

“Simple to install, the AC1050 offers the flexibility to accommodate all the components that drive low-voltage services and systems throughout the home, while the AC106A6 provides a reliable, wired network connection for high-speed devices. The result is a rock-solid backbone for today’s connected home, all packed in one convenient location.”

The AC1050’s mounting design is inspired by Legrand AV brand Middle Atlantic Products which provides flexible mounting options for third-party components.

Constructed out of durable, WiFi transparent ABS plastic, the AC1050 can be mounted vertically or horizontally within On-Q’s plastic enclosures, letting it fit any configuration needed. The unit also has 1.5” of elevation to support mounting devices on either side of the plate to free up space in the enclosure and accommodating protruding devices like antennas.

It also supports Cat 6a cable connections and can accommodate up to six data lines to connect to high-speed devices like computers, smart TVs, gaming systems and network streaming devices to the home network.

It’s designed to exceed industry standards including the TIA/EIA 568-C.2 and is UL-listed.
