May/June sees several important launches for Leaf, including new products and information upgrades. Engineers have been extremely busy over the summer working on follow up products tothe LTHDMI88 8×8 HDMI Matrix with HDbaseT technology. As one of the first companies in the world to adopt HDBaseT, engineers have been working closely with the HDBaseT chip manufacturers to perfect the technology in Matrix products.

With numerous installations of the LTHDMI88 range now completed, dealers have been surveyed to find out what products they would like to see next. The response stated a requirement for a midrange product to compliment the high end 8×8. The result is the Leaf Lite range.
Based on the new HDBaseT Lite chipsets, Leaf has designed a 4×4 and 6×6 matrix to cater for this marketplace. Available late June the Leaf Lite range will have all the same stable and robust transmission technology as full HDBT but without the Ethernet pass through, it also has a maximum cable distance of up to 70m. The initial release will consist of the LHDMI44 (4×4 Matrix) and LHDMI66 (6×6 Matrix) with other products to follow soon after.

Key specs are as follows:

2K resolution (compared to 4k resolution with full HDBaseT)
6.75Gbps bandwidth capacity/signalling rate (compared to 10.2Gbps with full HDBaseT)
70m distance range of matrix/extenders
No Ethernet pass-through for broadband internet.

New website

May has seen the launch of stage 1 of Leaf’s new website to cater for a new direction as a leading supplier of AV distribution and switching products. The aim of the new site is to serve as a comprehensive point of access to everything customers, potential or existing, might need. The new site makes it easier for dealers and distribution partners around the world to find detailed information on products, including manuals and wiring diagrams.

The next stage release will provide dealers and partners with access to high resolution product pictures, logos, promotional materials and training videos.

The new site is also designed with a focus on social media as a feed of constant news. The home page has been integrated with Twitter and Facebook to provide real time news updates and technical bulletins to keep customers as up to date as possible on all aspects of the company and products.
