KV2 Audio launches VHD7000D subwoofer amplifier
KV2 Audio has unveiled the VHD7000D Subwoofer Amplifier, the latest addition to its flagship VHD Series.
Designed to drive all VHD, ES and SL subwoofer elements, the VHD7000D delivers uncompromising power and precision, making it ideal for large-scale events, touring productions and fixed installations.

For the first time, KV2 has created a universal bass amplifier compatible with third-party subwoofers. Its innovative power management system delivers 7kW of short-term power and peaks up to 14kW, all while drawing just 3.6kW from a 16A circuit.
A key feature of the VHD7000D is its integrated RMS limiter, which monitors long-term power and thermal behaviour to protect loudspeaker components. By preventing overheating, compression and driver damage, the limiter ensures sustained performance and consistent sound quality, even during extended high-output operation.
The amplifier also features a tunable notch filter for resonance suppression, reducing cone excursion to eliminate distortion and extend driver life. The result is a clearer, more balanced low-frequency response with improved definition and impact.
Additional protection comes from the peak limiter, which safeguards speakers from mechanical damage caused by excessive signal peaks. A high-power switching mode power supply further enhances output and reliability, while onboard overdrive protection and remote configuration via KV2’s Control and Diagnostics Tool provide greater flexibility for system engineers.
Combining powerful output, advanced protection systems and precision control, the VHD7000D establishes a new benchmark in low-frequency amplification. Whether used with KV2’s own subwoofer ranges or third-party systems, it delivers the clarity, reliability and performance demanded by professionals in any environment.
