Kordz is powering the smart home and cinema demonstrations at Wired By MJD’s CEDIA award-winning showroom, providing a robust, future-ready infrastructure and enabling customers to experience the transformative impact of professional AV and smart home installations firsthand.

When the team at Wired By MJD began conceptualising their first-ever showroom, they knew it had to not only be relatable to their customers, but also immerse them in a new world of possibilities that exist when using the best products and installation practices.

“Storytelling without physical experiences can only go so far. It was time to elevate our presence, attract more business and provide a more tangible, relatable representation of our services and technology offerings,” Wired By MJD owner Michael Daly says.

The best way to do this was to build a lifelike showroom and experience centre to ‘wow’ potential clients and industry prospects. Kordz played an integral role in the timely execution and exceptional functionality of the many homelike vignettes featured in the new 87m².

The project faced numerous challenges, including seamlessly integrating high-end AV components for a 4K Dolby Atmos experience, handling bandwidth-intensive smart home applications, unifying multiple zones of control, seamlessly integrating technology into the design, ensuring future-proofing, accommodating multiple functions in a small space and completing the project within a tight timeframe.

To achieve optimal performance, Wired By MJD deployed a robust Kordz cabling infrastructure. Nearly three kilometres of Kordz audio, HDMI and SlimCat Cat6A cabling was installed to support various smart home disciplines, including security, lighting, shading, climate control, WiFi, networking, AV distribution and high-end automation.

This comprehensive cabling solution, combined with top-tier brands like Elan, KNX, Bowers and Wilkins and others, ensured integration and optimal performance of all systems. The result is a showcase of how well-designed, expertly installed and integrated technologies can elevate modern living spaces.
