The KNX Association has launched a certification scheme for all IoT devices, enabling secure, interoperable solutions for smart homes and building automation.

Benefits such as advanced physical and network layers, embedded security and design, and high-level IPv6 supported interoperability were key focuses for the KNX Association to include in their technological development.

The first commercial KNX IoT stack is now commercially available on the Thread protocol. It offers members a secure, low-power mesh network solution for smart homes and building automation. The IoT stack is open source which allows developers to KNX IoT technology to develop advanced solutions for future smart environments.
