Klipsch has added Dirac Live room correction to The Sevens II and The Nines II powered speakers, making them among the first two-channel powered speakers to integrate the room-optimisation technology.

The Sevens II and The Nines II build on the design of the original models, combining Klipsch’s heritage styling with updated acoustic performance. Both models include Dirac Live limited bandwidth as standard, with an option to upgrade to full bandwidth correction, allowing users to optimise performance across different rooms, layouts and speaker placements.

“Powered speakers like The Sevens II and The Nines II are shaping the future of hi-fi: Compact, full-featured and effortless to integrate,” Dirac head of consumer electronics Rikard Hellerfelt says.

“By adding Dirac Live Room Correction, Klipsch is ensuring listeners experience the true performance of these speakers, no matter the room size, dimensions or layout. These models help further democratise high-fidelity sound and represent an exciting new milestone for our collaboration.”

Dirac Live Room Correction addresses the impact of the listening environment on audio quality. Using impulse-response and mixed-phase correction algorithms, the technology reduces room-induced colouration, timing issues and uneven bass that cannot be solved through speaker hardware alone.

The result is a wider and more stable listening sweet spot, improved imaging and clarity, better voice intelligibility and tighter, more consistent bass. These benefits are particularly relevant in living spaces where speaker placement is limited by furniture or room design.

For users adding subwoofers, Dirac Live Bass Control applies machine learning and AI to optimise bass performance across the listening area. The system analyses measurement and location data from each subwoofer, identifies inconsistencies in bass distribution and balances output for more even low-frequency performance.

“By integrating Dirac Live into The Sevens II and The Nines II, we’ve ensured these speakers deliver reference-level performance in any room, so listeners can experience the clarity, dynamics and impact Klipsch is known for without compromise,” Klipsch chief executive Paul Jacobs says.

Klipsch’s updated powered speakers also add expanded digital and analogue connectivity alongside integrated room correction and optional full-bandwidth Dirac Live support.
