Josh.ai has launched the AI X OS, its updated operating system for smart home control, alongside a 10” Josh Touchscreen and the upcoming Josh Edge remote.

AI X OS expands intelligence across audio, lighting, automation and control through touch, text and voice interfaces. It introduces redesigned apps for iOS, Android, Josh Touchscreen and the AVA Remote, plus software updates across the ecosystem.

Some key features of the AI X OS include an audio intelligence controller for music and entertainment, a lighting intelligence controller with colour, effects and circadian features, AI Scenes for suggested automations, camera capture for surveillance event logging and JoshGPT 3.0 for generative AI commands

AI Scenes suggest common routines like Good Morning or Relax, with options to refine automations while CustomDash allows users to pin devices, scenes and areas with a redesigned home page.

AV Distribution 2.0 synchronises high-fidelity audio and video across zones with low latency and Camera Capture records and timestamps surveillance events, integrated with Josh Vision for analysis.

Josh Touchscreen is available in 8” and 10” models with PoE, WiFi (for tabletop), capacitive touch, tap-to-talk and support for wall or table installation.

Josh Edge is a customisable remote with six programmable buttons, navigation pad, media buttons, side volume control, tap-to-talk and three-month battery life. It supports Apple TV, Roku, Kaleidescape, Dish, Xfinity and more.
