Josh.ai has expanded its AI-driven smart home platform with integration for JVC’s premium D-ILA home theatre projectors. The partnership allows integrators, interior designers and home owners to control cinematic experiences through Josh.ai.

Once connected to the network, Josh.ai automatically detects JVC projectors for rapid integration and provides professional installers with authorisation instructions. There is no limit to the number of projectors in a home, enabling custom integrators to design complex entertainment setups.

The Josh.ai Web Portal allows configuration of HDMI inputs, media output zones and other system parameters, while users can control power, inputs, volume and access streaming or cable platforms through elegant remote controls or contextual voice commands.

“Delivering immersive experiences and advancing user-centric home theatre projection technology that integrates effortlessly into modern smart homes remains a core priority for JVC,” JVC Home Theatre Projectors general manager Jamie Pasley says.

“As Josh.ai continues to push the boundaries of artificial intelligence in the connected home, this partnership ensures a smooth, unified integration experience for every installation.”

Josh.ai empowers households to personalise their viewing experience with custom scenes that set lighting, shades, and media playback simultaneously. Commands such as, “Hey Josh, dim the lights, draw the shades and watch Stranger Things on Netflix,” highlight the platform’s ability to consolidate device control for a truly immersive home theatre environment.

“We’re excited to introduce JVC support for our mutual dealers and clients. As Josh has grown, our team is proud to continue expanding with strategic category integrations,” Josh.ai chief executive Alex Capecelatro.

“Our partnerships are extremely important as we recommend innovative solutions to our customers. Our goal with Josh.ai is to deliver joy in the smart home and we’re thrilled to power dynamic theatre experiences with JVC.”
