JBL updates Intellivox Column loudspeakers with Dante networked audio
HARMAN Professional Solutions, distributed by MadisonAV, has unveiled an updated range of JBL Professional Intellivox Active Digital Beam Shaping column loudspeakers, now featuring Dante networked audio support.
The 13 models replace all previous Intellivox DSX, DS and HP-DS arrays, delivering enhanced performance, greater flexibility and improved intelligibility in acoustically challenging spaces such as transport hubs, houses of worship, theatres, parliaments and museums.

The latest Intellivox arrays combine multiple high-quality drivers, integrated multi-channel amplification and advanced DSP to enable precise digital beam shaping using JBL’s Digital Directivity Synthesis technology. This allows sound to be directed exactly where it is needed while minimising reflections, improving clarity and speech intelligibility even in highly reverberant environments.
The slim column enclosures require no mechanical aiming, can be supplied in custom colours and may be recessed to blend seamlessly into historic or modern spaces. Integration is supported via Dante and analogue audio inputs, IP control, built-in redundancy and continuous status monitoring for mission-critical installations.
Each system includes network connectivity and free WinControl software for setup and monitoring, while the Digital Directivity Analysis (DDA) tool enables designers to model and optimise coverage with precision.
