JBL Studio 130

Powerful and accurate in any listening environment, the newest JBL loudspeaker collection includes the JBL Studio 190 and Studio 180 floor standing loudspeakers, the Studio 130 bookshelf loudspeaker, the JBL Studio 120c centre-channel loudspeaker, the JBL Studio 140P, 150 watt subwoofer and 150P, 300 watt subwoofer.

Each component is sold separately and can be combined to personalise the ideal cinematic home theatre or music experience with the Weave, a brand-new product styling that will make a dramatic statement for every living room.

“The JBL Studio One Series is an exciting range for Convoy as the first to boast JBL’s brand-new Weave design, in addition to offering exceptional sound at great value for money,” says Convoy International managing director Geoff Matthews.

The Studio 190 is a three-and-a-half-way floorstanding loudspeaker featuring dual 165mm (6 ½-inch) – low frequency and 100mm (4 inch) midrange PolyPlas drivers, and CMMD Lite high frequency domes with proprietary Bi-Radial waveguides. These combined technologies offer clarity and realism with bass response. The Studio 180 is designed in a similar vertical tower package and is a three-way floorstanding speaker with one 165mm (6 ½-inch) PolyPlas cone, and identical mid and HF elements to the larger 190.

Perfect for a bookshelf or tabletop, or for someone who is looking to pack some big sound without the big box, the Studio 130 bookshelf loudspeaker is tailor-made for the job. The two-way speaker system offers clarity and realism with bass response. Featuring 100mm (4-inch) low-frequency transducers and 25mm (1-inch) high-frequency transducers, Studio 130 speakers are ideally suited for use in a compact Studio One Series home theatre system, or on their own in a space-saving yet captivating music-only system.

Voice-matched to the other speakers in the JBL Studio One Series, and sharing the same dynamic new industrial design, the JBL Studio 120c renders the dialogue, music and effects of even the most challenging movie soundtracks. The two-and-a-half-way dual centre channel features two magnetically shielded 100mm (4-inch) PolyPlas cones and a 25mm (1-inch) CMMD Lite dome, magnetically shielded, in a Bi-Radial constant directivity waveguide.

Rounding out the range are two powerful active subwoofers.

First in the line-up, the 300W JBL Studio 150P houses a 250mm (10-inch), down-firing, long-throw transducer in a trapezoidal bass-reflex enclosure that fits just about anywhere. Its more compact sister model, the 150W Studio 140P, shares many of the 150P’s features with a 200mm (8-inch) long-throw driver.

Both subwoofers feature signature JBL subwoofer elements, such as a high-efficiency design to deliver more power with less heat, high-output performance with built-in limiter to prevent distortion during program peaks and adjustable crossover frequency. Designed to connect to virtually any AV receiver, both the Studio 140P and Studio 150P will add essential bass response to any multichannel system.

The JBL Studio One series is available now from JBL Specialist retailers, and selected Myer, Harvey Norman, and Domayne stores.
