James Loudspeaker redesigns QXC mounting system
James Loudspeaker, which is distributed in Australia by Convergent Technologies, has redesigned the mounting system for their QXC series of architectural speakers, making it easier for integrators to secure them in place.
The new QXC loudspeakers feature a lightweight aluminium frame with semi-circular clamps that attach to the ceiling or wall surface using premium-grade stainless steel hardware. Once the frame is secured with the speaker mounting screws in place the QXC speaker can be rotated into position using the provided keyhole shaped receptacles in the speaker’s mounting flange. This eliminates the need for the installer to balance the speaker while holding tools and hardware, simplifying the process and reducing installation time.
James Loudspeaker engineers have also developed a new grille mounting system using proprietary tri-blended elastomer encased Neodymium magnets. These magnets are fixed to both the speaker and the grille for a secure, seamless fit, while the elastomer removes any concern of corrosion even in marine environments.

QXC aluminium grilles are available in either round or square form factors in standard and custom colours.
The QXC series speakers also feature aluminium cone woofers with Santoprene rubber surrounds and quad aluminium tweeter arrays to provide greater dispersion and imaging even in rooms with speakers mounted in less than perfect locations.
The QXC series speakers are available in 6.5” and 8” models. All mounting innovations are available now.
