Integrate 2013 announces expanded seminar program

Taking place from 27-29 August 2013 at the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre, Integrate 2013 will host a 60-strong education program for the AV and electronic systems industry.

A variety of educational seminars, practical workshops and training sessions will cover a broad spectrum of topics ranging from networking, wireless technology, lighting, cabling, energy management, best practice and more.
 
Visitors will learn from an acclaimed line-up of local and international industry speakers, including:
 
•       David Labuskes – Executive Director and CEO, InfoComm International
•       Clare Ward – Executive Director, CEDIA Asia Pacific
•       Stephen Ellison – Systems Engineer, Stark Raving Solutions and Pavilion Production Manager at Technologies for Worship Magazine
 
The three-day event will run special tracks for the commercial, residential and worship sectors, including:
 
InfoComm University
 
InfoComm University will return to Integrate 2013 to bring the latest global trends and insights direct from InfoComm 2013, which took place earlier this year in Florida. A comprehensive series of à la carte seminars and manufacturer forums will provide professional education for the commercial AV industry.
 
This year’s InfoComm University will feature an exciting keynote from InfoComm¹s new Executive Director and CEO, David Labuskes, CTS, RCDD who will be presenting Creating the Exceptional Experience where visitors will learn how the future of the industry will be tied to satisfying customer needs and expectations. Other must-attend sessions include:
 
•       John Ungerer, Managing Director, Kramer Electronics Australia & New Zealand – In the session EDID, HDCP, HDMI for Pro-AV, John will explore the implications of integrating HDMI into professional AV installations and have a look at what is about to become the new flavour.
 
•       Pete Coman, Managing Director, Indesign Technologies – Pete will present I Speak IT which will explore in detail how IT thinks, speaks and communicates and what AV professionals need to know and the terminology they should be using to gain credibility with IT.
 
•       Pete Swanston, National Business Development Manager ANZ, AMX – Event environments increasingly require multiple layers of digital media technology, in this session Pete will address the primary challenges and identify appropriate methodologies and technologies to deliver effective outcomes.
 
 
CEDIA Training
 
New to Integrate, CEDIA Training will host a series of education, certification and manufacturer product training for the electronic systems industry, which will be held both at Integrate and CEDIA¹s training centre in Botany. Among the expert speakers hosting the training sessions, include:
 
•       Clare Ward, Executive Director, CEDIA Asia Pacific – Clare will present the keynote in a session entitled 7 things your competitors are doing now, which will raise the issue of adapting to the new global environments and how businesses can thrive in this growing market place.
 
•       Brendon Reid, Managing Director, AA Group Ltd. – Brendon will provide a training session on Cash Flow Strategies, giving small businesses tips and tricks to tracking and managing cash flow to achieve a better bottom line.
 
•       Frank Di Bartolo, Director, Pacific Hi-Fi – In a session vital for anyone new to the industry, Frank will host a 2-day Technician ESTI bootcamp, which will provide the fundamental knowledge and skills necessary to get started in the residential electronic systems industry.
 
 
Technologies for Worship Pavilion
 
Sponsored by Technologies for Worship Magazine, Pavilion Production Manager, Stephen Ellison will return to host the Technologies for Worship Pavilion. Designed specifically for the worship sector, a series of hands-on workshops will offer technicians, volunteers and house of worship staff with training for lights, video production, audio mixing and more. In Stephen¹s session on Stage Lighting, visitors will learn the art of lighting design and how to create beautiful pictures using light.
