In addition to the largest showcase of latest pro AV systems in Asia by some 320 manufacturers and suppliers from 27 countries, InfoComm Asia 2010 will also feature a solid Summit program to facilitate sharing and discussion of technological developments, market trends and technical skills. The InfoComm Asia event serves to help raise the general standards of AV service and knowledge in the region.

There are two new components to the InfoComm Asia Summit this year. A two-day SynAudCon Workshop has been specially put together to offer audio professionals practical, in-depth training on the principles of audio and acoustics. Participants will learn the most critical elements of the sound system design process, giving them more confidence in the systems they design. The Workshop, to be held on 16 and 17 November, is conducted by SynAudCon, a specialist audio training resource organisation based in the United States.

The other new component is the CTS Prep Course, designed to help InfoComm members, as well as non-members, in their preparation for Technology Specialist credential. The three-day course, from 15-17 November, will explore the testing process and format, and allow participants to work collaboratively on exam content areas with the help of facilitators. This is also a fee-based program.

The InfoComm Academy Seminars on technical developments in speciality AV areas; manufacturers’ presentations on their newest technologies or products; industry conferences on technology applications and market trends; and a technical site visit to the ALiVE exhibition at the Hong Kong Science Park, for a behind-the-scenes appreciation of AV applications.

Applied Laboratory for Interactive Visualization and Embodiment (ALiVE), the exhibition offers a unique occasion to experience nine spectacular immersive environments at the frontiers of art and science. It features ground-breaking innovations in panoramic 3D cinema, embodied architecture, games and animation, digital humanities, distributed media, interactive visualisation and simulation.

On the InfoComm Asia 2010 exhibition floor, international AV brand leaders as well as emerging Asian manufacturers will showcase their latest products, many shown for the first time in Asia.

In addition to well known exhibitors like AMX, beyerdynamic, Crestron, Christie Digital, Da-Lite, Danish Interpretation Systems, Digital Projection, dnp denmark, Draper, Extron, Jupiter Systems, Kramer, Lighthouse Technologies, projectiondesign, Sennheiser, Stewart Filmscreen, Vtron and Wolfvision, some 60 ‘new’ exhibitors will make their first appearance in InfoComm Asia event this November. These include BrightSign, CES Audio, Coolux China, GestureTek, IML Asia, Lightware Visual Engineering, Meyer Sound Laboratories, Oray, ONELAN China, Vation China, Verrex Corporation and ZTE.
