AVIXA chief executive David Labuskes says they could not imagine a year without the June show.

“Since people are unable to travel to an in-person show, we are bringing InfoComm to them. As an industry quite in tune with virtual collaboration, we’re excited for everyone to join this new edition of InfoComm.”

Companies will have the chance to present their products and solutions in virtual showcases and host live and on-demand exhibitor presentations. The show’s New Tech Lightning Rounds will allow exhibitors to present their most exciting products in categories including: conferencing and collaboration, audio, higher education, and more.

An AI matchmaking feature will recommend exhibitors to attendees based on attendees’ interests. Attendees can customise their experience and use the scheduler to request and schedule one-on-one or group meetings.

The show’s education program will encompass new technology trends, design best practices, and business needs with a focus on the effects of COVID-19 on the industry.

There will be three keynote speeches over the course of the three days.

On Tuesday, David Labuskes will focus on finding a better normal in the form of a digital and physical hybrid world. The following day, AVIXA senior director of market intelligence Sean Wargo will present a session on the state of the industry, highlighting key findings from the new 2020 industry outlook and trends analysis (IOTA).

Finally, AVIXA board of director chairman Jeff Day will be joined by a group of fellow board members for a fireside chat to discuss the future of AV.

All sessions will include live ‘Ask Away’ sessions.

AVIXA senior vice president of expositions and events Rochelle Richardson says it is important for AVIXA to be able to easily adapt and create a new sustainable virtual experience for AV professionals around the world.

“With InfoComm 2020 Connected, we’ll expand our reach and offer a robust program for all regions and all AV professionals.”

All three days will feature regional programming for the APAC, EMEA and LATAM areas with sessions in Italian, French and German throughout the day.

The winners of the inaugural AV Experience Awards will take part in a panel discussion to share their stories. There will be numerous networking opportunities including all-council meetings, the Women’s Council Breakfast, and live group chats as well as nightly entertainment.

In addition, the annual AVIXA Awards ceremony on Wed., June 17 at 5 p.m. EDT, will recognize AV professionals who are making lasting impressions on the industry.

InfoComm 2020 Connected is free to attend and the virtual platform will remain live from June 19 to August 21 for attendees to browse exhibitor showcases and view on-demand sessions.

Registration opens May 12 at infocommshow.org.
