HK Audio has introduced the ELEMENTS MK2 modular column array solution, designed for professional sound reinforcement across applications ranging from speech and conferences to live music, DJ sets and event production.

The system combines line-array technology, 90° horizontal dispersion and an integrated DSP platform, with a modular design allowing configurations to be scaled according to room size and application requirements.

A newly developed phase plug sound guide is designed to provide consistent sound coverage across the audience area, helping to reduce volume fluctuations and dead spots while maintaining high-frequency reproduction and headroom.

The ELEMENTS MK2 uses HK Audio’s SnapLock system to connect top modules, spacers and subwoofers without tools. Signal transmission is handled through contact surfaces within the connections, eliminating exposed cables once the system is assembled.

The system can be configured with up to three top units and two subwoofers. Connected top units are automatically detected, with the integrated DSP platform selecting the appropriate filter for midrange compensation without requiring manual adjustment.

The ELEMENTS MK2 110 Sub A is intended as a compact option for corporate events, speech and background music, while the ELEMENTS MK2 115 Sub A provides additional headroom and extended low-frequency response for music and event applications.

The LINEAR 5 MK2 115 Sub A can also be integrated into the system. The ELEMENTS MK2 115 Sub A and LINEAR 5 MK2 115 Sub A can be combined where additional low-frequency output or cardioid configurations are required.

The integrated DSP platform provides flat, contour, voice and remote presets. The first three are configured for common applications, while the remote preset allows for custom configurations through HK Audio’s DSP CONTROL software.

Ethernet connectivity provides system control and Milan AVB Audio streaming over a single network connection. The ELEMENTS MK2, LINEAR 5 MK2 and LINEAR 9 can also be managed on the same network through their shared DSP platform.

A DSP-Out connection allows the system to control additional active speakers without their own DSP or network capabilities, such as speakers used for delay lines. The input signal can be processed and routed independently of the ELEMENTS MK2’s own settings.

The combination of modular hardware, tool-free assembly, integrated DSP and network connectivity is aimed at rental companies, event technicians and mobile sound reinforcement operators looking for a scalable system that can be configured for different production requirements.
