In addition to offering enhanced viewing capabilities and full compatibility with 3D TV and video, the AVR 156, AVR 165, AVR 265 and AVR 365 also feature the Harman Kardon brand’s proprietary Logic 7 sound processing, and the latest suite of Dolby True HD and DTS-HD Master Audio decoding, providing rich and powerful 360-degree sound.

The AVR 156 and AVR 165 are the perfect companions for film, TV and music lovers who are looking for a budget-friendly, yet feature-rich, AVR option. Audiophiles will rejoice as these receivers power 5.1-channel surround systems and feature the latest Dolby True HD and DTS-HD Master Audio decoding technologies that bring entertainment to life.

The 5.1 channel AVR 156 is perfect for starter systems, yet still packs an impressive punch with 70W of amplification per channel, an FM/AM tuner, extensive AV connectivity, and three HDMI inputs.

The more advanced AVR 165 provides 95W of power per channel, one additional HDMI input with Audio Return Channel, and EzSet/EQ automatic calibration technology, giving movie and music buffs additional flexibility in configuring their ideal home theatre setup.

For those looking to lift their entertainment experience to a more advanced level of performance, the AVR 265 and AVR 365 can power 7.1-channel surround-sound systems and are packed with the latest and greatest next-generation technology.

Both AVRs include network connectivity for internet radio or music file streaming from a home network. Additional benefits include Dolby Volume – a home theatre volume control, which maintains the same volume level across channels, sources, and content – and multizone functionality for audio playback in multiple rooms. Playback of music from an iPod or iPhone is feasible thanks to connectivity through the optional Bridge III iPod dock.

The AVR 365 provides 110W of power per channel, USB file playback and six HDMI inputs – compared to the 90W of power per channel and five HDMI inputs offered by the AVR 265 – accommodating every entertainment whim with grace, style, and ease.

“The new line of Harman Kardon AVRs takes advantage of the latest home entertainment technologies to offer the richest at-home sound and viewing experience possible,” says Harman Kardon distributor Convoy Internationa chief executive Geoff Matthews.

“With four models, there is a suitable option for every home theatre system and most budgets.”

These receivers feature the Harman Kardon brand’s sleek black and brushed silver design, perfectly coordinating with any existing Harman Kardon products and home surroundings. Artistically designed and effortless to use, all receivers have colour-coded binding-post connectors and easily programmable remotes, making setup and connectivity a breeze.
