GefenTV Home Theater Audio Processor offers a simple way to create surround sound audio from a satellite set-top box, Blu-ray player or gaming system using HDMI.

It decodes the audio from the HDMI signal and delivers it in both digital and analogue audio formats. The digital audio is 5.1 surround sound capable, while the analogue audio offers seven channels with 25W amplification per channel so users can simply connect speakers direct to the processor.

The front two channels support bi-amping to drive high and low frequencies separately. The unit also provides two HDMI outputs, allowing HDMI to be passed through to two displays or a display/projector combination. A digital S/PDIF audio input is delivered in TOSlink format.

The unit also supplies RCA-type outputs that are not amplified, so users can connect a separate amplifier. Audio settings are accessed by the front panel LCD display or IR remote. It includes HDCP compliance and support for Dolby Digital 5.1, Dolby Pro Logic II, AC-3, and multi-channel LPCM.

GefenTV Surround Sound Speakers come in five sleek, wall-mounted enclosures with a ported design. Cabinetry is entirely comprised of MDF with curved sidewalls to minimise internal reflections.

When coupled with internal dampening materials, these help create a more linear frequency response. The two-way speaker system includes one woofer and tweeter. When combined with the Home Theater Audio Processor, users can easily set-up a quality surround sound system without a receiver, using the HDMI audio from any Blu-ray player, set-top box or gaming system.

These speakers were designed for clarity and bass response rather than high volume output, which makes them perfect for maintaining excellent sound quality in small to medium sized rooms.
