Gefen’s use of POL technology eliminates external power requirements for the receiver unit, and the internal power supply or AC 110/220V on the sender unit allows 48V 800mA to be transmitted with the HDMI, RS-232 and IR signals on the same Cat 5 cable.

Each receiver is also equipped with one 5V output to power supplemental Gefen hardware such as a switcher at the display location for added advantage.

GefenPRO Extra Long Range Extender for HDMI with POL

This system sends HDMI at 1080p full HD with 3DTV pass-through, multi-channel audio, IR remote, RS-232 control and 100BaseT Ethernet over a single Cat 5/Cat 6 cable. All HDMI v1.3 features are supported including deep color, lip sync and audio delay. Both the IR back channel and RS-232 connection on the receiver unit can be used to control the display from the remote location. Each receiver can be wall mounted for added convenience. Full HDCP compliance and configurable EDID options further enhance performance. Any DVI monitor can be used in place of an HDMI display to expand the range of compatibility. POL technology means no power is needed for the receiver, further streamlining cabling requirements.

GefenPRO Extra Long Range Extender for HDMI with POL II

This model offers the same features as the GefenPRO ELR for HDMI with POL but with an alternative receiver unit that supplies one additional HDMI input. This allows for two connected sources, one at the sender unit and one at the receiver unit, with switching controlled by IR remote, local front panel selection or RS-232 control. When one source powers down, the GefenPRO ELR for HDMI with POL II will automatically switch to the alternative source.
