Future Automation releases the RTE to streamline AV rack installation and off-site testing

Future Automation, distributed by Canohm in Australia, has released the Rack Termination Enclosure (RTE) which offers a modular solution for AV rack installations, allowing systems to be built, tested and configured off-site before delivery.

Designed to reduce on-site labour and simplify service, the RTE enables complete AV racks to be pre-assembled with all cabling routed through detachable trunking. Once on site, the trunking is reattached and connections plugged in, minimising installation time while ensuring thorough pre-deployment testing.

Available in two sizes, the RTE accommodates 16 or 24 termination plates, which can be populated with networking, audio or blanking plates to suit project needs. Both models are designed to fit within standard 14″ stud bays with 16″ on-centre spacing and their ultra-slim depth of under 4″ balances cable management capacity with compatibility in constrained spaces.

Engineered as an in-wall solution, the RTE features a robust powder-coated finish for durability and a professional appearance. Its design prioritises ease of installation, access and cable management. Central cable trunking provides a 3″ square internal space for cable looms, with additional upper cover cable tie points to secure cables running to the rack.

Additionally, the upper cover removes easily to access incoming cables, front covers hook off without tools and hinging connector hatches open up to 90° and are held shut with magnets for quick rear access to connections.

The RTE comes with multiple connector plates as standard, with additional plates available separately, making it a flexible and efficient solution for modern AV installations.
