Fully automated model highlights MantelMount’s newest products at CEDIA 2017MantelMount introduced its newest products at CEDIA 2017, including the MM850 automated pull down and swivel TV mount, the company’s first fully automated model.

The MM850 marks MantelMount’s entry into the home automation arena, giving customers enhanced levels of convenience, viewing enjoyment and safety.

A home integration module in the MM850 allows the viewer to control TV viewing positions through the most popular home automation systems, including Crestron, Control4, RTI, Alexa and more. It also features wired, built-in Ethernet to create a true plug-and-play set up process for installers and simplify the process for customers to download software updates.

The motorised MM850 has a 433MHz RF remote control that sets the vertical and horizontal TV position from anywhere in the room, as well a heat-sending thermocouple and auto temperature sensing technology. These safety features measure heat from a fireplace and automatically retract the TV to a fully raised home position when the thermocouple detects an unsafe temperature for electronics.

MantelMount chief executive KC Bean says the introduction of the MM850 model was a logical extension of the company’s flagship product.

“Some integrators, accustomed to working with high-end home automation projects, felt their clients wouldn’t want to pull the TV down themselves when everything else in the house was already automated through their home control system. It was imperative that we invented a solution for that group of TV install/home integration professionals.”

Additional automation and power-based features of the MM850 include dual electronic actuators, a multi-axis hub, power sense technology and favourite position memory.

MantelMount also introduced the MM750 Pro series pull down and swivel mount at CEDIA. This manual mount is an upgrade from the Pro series MM700 and appeals to consumers who want a more fully featured mount but are comfortable with the unit’s manual movement.

The MM750 features patented pull down heat sensor handles that turn bright red at 110°C and sports an attractive, black powder coated matte finish.

Both the MM850 and MM750 also include a recess box included for 1.6″ flush to wall TV storage, built-in sound bar adapter, hard travel limit stops and cable wire management.
