Fujifilm Australia has launched the FUJIFILM PROJECTOR ZUH12000, a high-brightness projector designed for large venues, immersive environments, showrooms and commercial spaces where high-definition projection needs to compete with ambient light.

The ZUH12000 delivers 12,000 lumens and 4K projection, while becoming the first model in Fujifilm’s Z Series to feature interchangeable lenses.

The projector uses a 0.8” HEP DMD DLP chip to produce a 3,840 x 2,400 screen resolution, with Fujifilm’s optical engine designed to deliver colour reproduction and smooth gradation.

Five Film Simulation modes, PROVIA, Velvia, ETERNA, CLASSIC CHROME and CLASSIC Neg., draw on Fujifilm’s colour technology developed for photographic film.

At 18.1kg, the ZUH12000 is also designed to reduce the practical demands of installing and transporting a high-brightness projector. Its compact chassis measures 535mm wide, 396mm deep and 189mm high.

The model offers three interchangeable lenses: The ultra-short-throw FP-ZL034, short-throw FP-ZL050 and standard FP-ZL125. The lenses cover throw ratios of 0.34-0.41, 0.5-0.65 and 1.25-2.0 respectively, allowing integrators to select an optical configuration based on the installation.

The FP-ZL034 lens can rotate 360° and provides a lens-shift range of 60% vertically and 30% horizontally. This allows installers to project onto walls, ceilings, floors and screens without repositioning the projector body or changing the lens orientation.

The flexibility is particularly suited to immersive spatial applications where the projector may need to be concealed. The lens can project an image of up to 400” from a distance of 297cm.

Its optical design uses more than 20 lens elements, two mirrors and a large-diameter aspherical lens to control distortion and aberration across the projected image. A three-group zoom mechanism provides a 1.2x optical zoom range while maintaining a 0.34-0.41 throw ratio.

With the ZUH12000, Fujifilm is targeting applications that require both high brightness and installation flexibility, including immersive museums, event venues, corporate showrooms, commercial facilities, large halls and conference rooms.
