Extron unveils Dante card for Quantum Ultra II video wall processing systems
Extron has released the Quantum OUT32AT output card for the Quantum Ultra II video wall processors.
The processors provide a direct connection to Dante systems and deliver up to 32 stereo pairs of digital audio streams from a videowall system to a Dante audio network.

The audio for each Dante stereo pair can originate from a source connected to an Extron Quantum IN4FOX3 or Quantum IN4HDMI 4K PLUS input card.
Also, it can follow the active program audio for up to 20 available canvases and a single Quantum OUT32AT output card can support an entire Quantum Ultra II system.
Extron chief marketing officer Casey Hall says that when a video wall system ties into a Dante audio network, direct communication is the best bet for reliability without adding more equipment.
“Integrating a new Quantum OUT32AT card into a Quantum Ultra II system equipped with FOX3 or HDMI 4K PLUS cards delivers everything required for efficient and cost-effective videowall audio management,” he says.
Quantum Ultra II features a HyperLane video bus that delivers real-time performance with a throughput of up to 500Gbps.
The FOX3 connectors and 18Gbps HDMI connectors on the 4K input and output cards support resolutions up to 4K/60 at 4:4:4 with full HDCP 2.3 compliance and 8K/60 sources can be accommodated as a quad-path signal.
The processor can support up to 20 canvases with mixed resolutions and screen orientations.
RS-232, USB and Ethernet interfaces provide direct connection to control systems.
Extron Videowall Configuration Software (VCS and SIS commands facilitate audio mapping and the Dante Controller software enables advanced Quantum OUT32AT card configuration.
