Extron ships 4K videowall processors that streamline small-to-mid-sized applications
Extron has released the Quantum Ultra Connect 84 and 128 video wall processors which offer eight to 12 HDMI inputs for systems with up to four or eight displays, delivering the same high-quality scaling and real-time performance as Extron’s Quantum Ultra processors.
Vector 4K scaling and HyperLane high-speed video bus technologies produce sharp, accurate output and deliver real-time performance unattainable by other videowall processors.

A few of the designer-friendly features include custom output resolutions, input and output video rotation, bezel compensation and flexible window replacement that enables side-by-side, overlap and picture-in-picture image position.
For HDCP-encrypted content, the Extron Key Minder and SpeedSwitch Technology facilitate virtually instantaneous switching. On top of that, the system can work through RS-232, USB and Ethernet for direct system control, streamlined integration and videowall operation.
“Videowalls have become commonplace for schools, stores, hospitals, and corporate lobbies to share information, entertain, and advertise products and services,” Extron vice president of worldwide sales and marketing Casey Hall says.
“Quantum Ultra Connect provides a cost-effective processing solution for tiled displays and LED walls, while providing complete flexibility of how the content is displayed.”
The Quantum Ultra Connect 84 system can accept eight HDMI signals up to 2K, four HDMI signals up to 4K/30 or two signals up to 4K/60.
Both models include integrator-friendly features such as EDID minder and HDCP authorisation that simplify source integration.
