Extron reveals Quantum DTP3 input and output cards

Extron has revealed the Quantum DTP3 input and output cards for long-distance signal extension for videowall systems.

The Quantum IN4DTP3 is a four-input card which eliminates the requirement for DTP3 receivers when sources are found a long distance from the Quantum Ultra II processor. Each input on the card allows users a choice of either twisted pair or HDMI formats and power insertion to enable remote powering of DTP3 or DTP transmitters.

Each DTP3 output has a direct HDMI output to support streaming, local display, recording equipment and power insertion to remotely power DTP3 and DTP receivers. Both cards support signals up to 4K/60 up to 100m.

Embedded audio can be managed between input and output cards or sent to a Dante network when it’s connected with a Quantum OUT32AT card.

The HDMI 4K PLUS, FOX3 and STP3 input and output cards feature 18Gbps connections that support resolutions up to 4K/60 at 4:4:4 with HDCP 2.3 compliance.

“System designers and integrators asked for an easy way to extend signals for remote sources and videowall display devices and now they can,” Extron chief marketing officer Casey Hall says.

“Our new Quantum DTP3 I/O cards deliver all that is needed and more for Quantum Ultra II systems to integrate perfectly into a wide range of environments, from education and community presentation venues to government and utility command centres.”
