Extron opens the doors to its Sydney Technology Centre
After over 12 months of research, Extron has announced the opening of its Sydney Technology Centre, sitting in North Sydney’s central Victoria Cross district. The new centre will offer integrators hands-on training, live demonstrations and expert support for the suite of Extron solutions.
Extron Australia director Ben Fabien says that the search for a new office began in January 2024, and it took approximately six months to create the purpose-built facility from the initial design meeting.

“It was time for us to look forward after the challenges we endured during the COVID-19 years. We always had the goal to relocate from our old location in Lane Cove West which served us well for 12 years” Ben explains.
The new location is conveniently connected to major business areas including Barangaroo and Martin Place and for those driving, there’s a direct link to the CBD through the Sydney Harbour Tunnel.
“The motivation for the location and new facility was to create a space that would demonstrate the true meaning of integration, no more boxes on shelves. We want clients to see, firsthand, a working example of all Extron technologies in a modern workplace, integrating with other industry-leading brands,” Ben says.
The state-of-the-art training room and experiential zone boasts the latest Extron technologies including Extron Pro Control, NAV Pro AVoIP, Quantum Ultra II video wall processing, Pendant and column array speakers as well as a variety of recording, streaming and encoding solutions.
To demonstrate the collaboration with other leading brands, the Sydney Technology Centre features several Sennheiser TeamConnect solutions, Daktronics NPN-4600 Series LED walls, Sony 75” FW75BZ30L LCD monitors, Sony Pro PTZ and fixed cameras, a CommBox CBIC75S5 and Siemon structured cabling consolidation points and termination solutions among others.
“We have designed a facility where industry professionals can not only see the latest products that we have to offer but also have the opportunity to receive the training and support they need to grow their business,” Extron chief marketing officer Casey Hall says.
Ben Fabien adds that the idea is to give visitors the full Extron S3 experience: Service, support and solutions.
“The space is highly focused on the client experience. We want end users, consultants and systems integrators to see a full suite of Extron and allied solutions on display,” he says.
“We are extremely proud of the space that we have been able to produce and genuinely feel that the Extron Sydney Technology Centre is a true example of innovation and collaboration.”
