Extron launches DTP3 CrossPoint 42 USB matrix switcher
Extron has introduced the DTP3 CrossPoint 42 USB, a compact 4×2 matrix switcher designed for collaboration and presentation environments requiring integrated AV and USB connectivity.
The switcher supports 10Gbps data at the local USB-C host port and four-port hub, along with USB host switching and USB 2 data extension. It features USB-C and HDMI inputs, HDMI outputs and a DTP3 output capable of extending video, audio, data and control signals up to 100m over shielded CAT 6A cable.

Additional features include 100W USB-C charging, audio de-embedding, seamless transition effects and logo keying. The unit also supports 4K scaling to meet modern presentation and conferencing requirements.
“Customers are increasingly looking for solutions that integrate USB switching and extension with video matrix capabilities,” Extron chief marketing officer Casey Hall says.
“The DTP3 CrossPoint 42 USB addresses this need with a compact design that supports both, along with features like 4K scaling and USB-C charging to meet the requirements of today’s presentation environments.”
The switcher includes extensive USB data functionality for unified communications environments. Up to three 10Gbps USB hosts can be switched to share devices and connect to the local four-port USB hub, which includes two USB 10Gbps and two USB 2 high-speed connections.
The system can also access remote USB devices connected to a DTP3 R 331 receiver, allowing cameras, microphones, keyboards and mice installed in the room to be shared with any connected USB host.
