Extron introduces the UCS 504

The UCS 504 supports switching up to six USB room devices, one that supports rates up to USB 10Gps and five that support rates up to high speed while providing power.
It can also use a single CATx cable to extend the video and high speed signals up to 100m between the transmitter and receiver for streamlined installation.
“We’ve created a comprehensive USB-C switching and extension solution that addresses the rising need to support cameras and mics in UC meetings, while powering those devices,” Extron chief marketing officer Casey Hall says.
“The UCS 504 offers seamless connectivity and power delivery and streamlines installation, extending signals over a single CATx cable, enhancing efficiency and creating successful meeting spaces.”
The UCS 504 switcher/receiver kit includes a transmitter that supports USB-C and dual HDMI with USB input. Six USB device connections support cameras or mics up to USB 10Gbps and HDMI outputs enable resolutions up to 4K/60.
The system also supports auto-switching and automation capabilities including CEC, RS0232 or IR control to a display. The transmitter can mount under a table while the 2.5cm high receiver can mount behind a display.
