Extron announces new room scheduling panels that make booking a room easier than everExtron Electronics has announced the introduction of the TLS family of TouchLink Scheduling panels, a new generation of room scheduling options.

Designed to help ease integration and provide customers with powerful, dedicated panels for all their meeting space reservation needs, the TLS panels can be customised with free Room Agent software. The panels can then connect directly to Microsoft Exchange, Office 365 and Google Calendar without the need for additional scheduling software or external processors.

Users simply connect the touch panel to their computer, open the free Room Agent software and fill in the required fields to compose the user interface. TLS panels equipped with a digital input will work with just about any occupancy sensor, including the Extron OCS 100 series, which monitors room occupancy and releases the room back to available status after a user-defined time.

The panels are available in 5”, 7” and 10” in both wall and VESA mounting varieties. Users can make reservations directly from these panels, a computer or any smart phone or tablet that connects to any of the supported mail servers.

“These new TLS panels and our latest version of Room Agent software make it easier than ever to integrate room scheduling into your enterprise,” says Extron Electronics vice president of worldwide sales and marketing Casey Hall.

Red and green LED light bars makes it easy to see if a room is occupied or available, while new room scheduling analytics provide the information customers need to closely analyse room usage, activity patterns and occupancy trends across the organisation.

“You’ll have the convenience of touch panel or smart phone reservations, room analytic information, and all of this without any annual subscription or maintenance fees,” says Casey.
